1. I will quit smoking or to quit exposing myself to second hand smoke.
2. I will make it more difficult for my friends to smoke. "Outside, please." "Not in my car."
3. I will decrease my food intake by watching--and measuring--a single serving. (it is on the box or can.) [Overweight people over-estimate the size of one portion and under-estimate how much they are eating] Hmmmm.
4. I will Not order large, extra large, or super-sized food or calorie filled drinks.
5. If/when I drink alcohol, I will have a designated driver pre-arranged--even if I think I could drive.
6. I will buckle my seatbelt each and every time.
7. I will do something I enjoy just for me every day. Even if I have only 10 minutes, I will make a cup or tea or read a magazine or look at the stars or do nothing.
8. I will put each of my joints from the neck down through it's individual range of motion each day. [up, down, right, left and a circle]
9. I will walk or pedal or wheel myself somewhere for at least 10 minutes each day.
10. I will sleep at night in my bed (not in a chair or on the couch) in the dark (without the TV on) for at least 6 1/2 hours each night.
11. I will have a time of silence each day during which I thank God for my blessings and pray for strength to get through tomorrow.
12. I will start each day expecting something special!
